There was no statistical difference in productivity and quality of carrot between treatments using ThermoPotash (TK) and potassium chloride (KCl) and combined application of these two sources,

This is a problem with English...

using ThermoPotash (TK) and potassium chloride (KCl) should read
using ThermoPotash (TK) OR potassium chloride (KCl)

otherwise saying the combined ... combined application of these two sources, makes no sense..

so we have the equivalency.. seems to me...

IMO

Potashpro.

From the release: "There was no statistical difference in productivity and quality of carrot between treatments using ThermoPotash (TK) and potassium chloride (KCl) and combined application of these two sources, and also compared to the control treatment."

That depends what the "control treatment" included. If it was just water and baseline soil, then you are right.

That would imply no potash of any kind was needed to get the equivalency of TK OR TK plus KCL ... that does not make sense to me.
