Cheeky,

They need tweaking to make it BETTER than KCL -- TK, as reported today, is as good as KCL.

"They said it needs "tweaking" for you are going to have to do another bunch of crops, thats going to take a while."

So be it. It took months / years of being patient. This is not a set-back. It's just part of the process.

in the meantime we'll have drill news on the potash, phosphate and limestone drill programs.

i don't see the big issue here. glauconite has been used as a fertilizer for decades. we know it works.

they now know to use a finer grind in applying the fertilizer to carrots. perhaps they did use different particle sizes in their field tests of other crops.

not as if carrots have a large external root system that goes out into the soil to collect nutrients. would make sense to apply a fine grind and work it into the soil well. that way there would be more TP available to the carrots.

they'll have to fine tune for all crops, and their strategy to work closely with the regional fertilizer blenders is a very good one imo.

as the granules age in the soil they'll be broken down by various bacteria and other soil organisms as well as by chemical interactions. so the longer the growing season of the crop, the more thermo is available to the plants.

be interesting to know the timing of the carrot testing and all the other crops tested.
