They're both in a bind. No matter what they do, somebody hates them.

Still, CRTC has done some things right. I believe the 30% rule is one reason Canadian artists have survived, and even gained worldwide celebrity.

On telecomms and Internet issues, Canada needs complete policy change. But NO Canadian party has the political courage for that, so incumbents have the Canadian market locked up, just as their American counterparts do.

Spineless politicians and regulators captured by money and influence. Maybe we should import some Aussie politicians. At least they have the guts to kick incumbent ass, and start laying fibre.
