They didn't ever define "long term". I see articles like this and just roll my eyes because they obviously don't have any clue how small the world gold market is compared to the other pools of investment capital. The entire world production annually is about $120 Billion. In case you've been living on Mars that is currently less than 1 MONTH'S deficit spending in this country alone.

as long as China has lots of US treasuries and USD is a reserve currency.. .gold has chutzpah .... after that.. pity the US ?

And my country with our 75% foreign trade weight to yiu guys...
