I do not agree that it will take "years" for most crops. A decent study/experiment could likely give you a pretty good idea in 1 year.

Assuming the product performs, then convincing farmers might take some time, but a competitive price and government support for the product could hasten that time line.

I see Brazil wanting to get their own domestic potash supply akin to the US wanting their own domestic oil supply - I suspect Brazil sees it the same way as well, and for good reason.

Shouldn't take years to test - not even close. If it's on a par with competitors, it'll be very big as Brazil is a big market and they'll have the competition by the short hairs on transportation cost differential alone. Won't take farmers long to catch on. Making money at farming is often largely controlling your costs. Trust me on the foregoing, I know a bunch of farmers, all of 'em are pretty much the same, they save a buck where they can. The Brazilians won't be any different
