What an incredibly stupid statement! Is the higher murder and other crime rates a reflection on liberals? I suppose it is by your thinking. A very sad comment. You are a very sad individual. Don't you have something constructive you might do?

Seven states (all Red States) have no statewide smoking restrictions at all for private work sites, restaurants, or bars, according to the CDC’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report.

The states are:

Indiana
Kentucky
Mississippi
South Carolina
Texas
West Virginia
Wyoming

A sad comment on the intelligence of red states.

Your judgmental comment is forgiven on this Easter Sunday. Unfortunately, your ignorance is permanent.

Maybe those red states are pro-choice. You are pro-choice aren't you?

Don't you believe that women should have the choice to do what they want to/with their bodies?

Shouldn't that be extended to everyone and include other self-destructive activities? It simply isn't anybody else's business if someone chooses to smoke cigarettes or eat fast food.

And we don't need the government restricting these activities in restaurants or bars or private work sites. Would you go to a restaurant that permits smoking? I wouldn't. Now imagine a town that has only restaurants that allow smoking. What do you think the chances are that some entrepreneur would open a smoke free restaurant? Having been to restaurants in most of those states, I can assure you that they exist.

Get on the pro-choice bandwagon Kenneth. Stop living in the olden days. It's a brave new world out there.

Now we can start talking about pro-choice where unions are concerned.
Did you know that there are 28 states that force union membership. There are only 22 states that believe in pro-choice on the right to work union-free. These are the "right to work states"
Alabama
Arizona
Arkansas
Florida
Georgia
Idaho
Iowa
Kansas
Louisiana
Mississippi
Nebraska
Nevada
North Carolina
North Dakota
Oklahoma
South Carolina
South Dakota
Tennessee
Texas
Utah
Virginia
Wyoming

Aren't people who would take away the basic right to work disgusting?

This isn't about smoking or employment, this is about CHOICE! Be Pro-Choice Kenneth!

HOUSTON—Gasoline prices have risen to the point where some consumers are getting caught with an empty tank.

Staffing administrator Joshua Petit said he had spent so much time cruising around in search of gasoline cheaper than the $3.70 a gallon at stations near his northwest Houston office that he spent all his remaining fuel in the effort.

A roadside-assistance service filled his tank by a quarter, he said, enough to get him to a business meeting downtown. There he sheepishly filled his tank, paying $3.89 a gallon for regular-grade gasoline.

"It's a problem," Mr. Petit said as he put $58 worth of fuel into his Dodge Stratus sedan recently.

With gasoline prices heading toward the psychologically jarring barrier of $4 a gallon, a level not seen since oil prices broke records in 2008, Mr. Petit isn't the only one taking action to reduce fuel expenditures.

Christie Hyde, a spokeswoman for the automotive club AAA, said the number of calls the organization has fielded from members stranded on the roadside has climbed as drivers cutting back on fuel spending forget to cut back on driving.

The club doesn't have a current-year data for the number of empty-tank calls it has received, but Ms. Hyde said it could be up by as much as 5% from this time last year, when 2% of the 29 million assistance calls it received were from people needing gas.

Regular-grade gasoline across the U.S. averaged $3.848 a gallon on Thursday, up about 30 cents for the month and 35% higher than a year before, according to AAA's Daily Fuel Gauge Report. States such as Alaska and California are already seeing regular gasoline retail for more than $4 a gallon.

Prices will remain high for the foreseeable future as unrest in the Middle East keeps the cost of crude oil elevated. Crude oil closed at $112.29 on Thursday and has been above $110 a barrel throughout April, a level not seen since September 2008.

Also, in the spring, technical and environmental regulations force refiners to switch to their more expensive summer blend, which is cleaner-burning but adds to the price facing consumers at the pump.

Houston resident Fallin Whitt said rising prices have caused her to fill the tank of her 2003 Lincoln Aviator only at discount gas pumps such as those at Costco, Sam's Club or the local Kroger Signature.

With a fill-up costing her $83, Ms. Whitt, a student, said she has started struggling with other obligations. "It's affecting my ability to pay bills," she said. "I've had to ask for more time to pay."

Drivers' reaction to high fuel prices is also evident in the virtual world.

At GasBuddy.com, a website that allows users to share price information found at individual gas stations in the U.S. and Canada, activity has increased. The site had more than 16 million visitors in March, up by 150% from the same time last year, said site co-founder Dustin Coupal.

The GasBuddy smartphone application also increased in downloads, becoming the 15th most downloaded to Apple phones by last Friday, up from the 50th place on Feb. 5, according to mobile-ad company MobClix.

The site has "hit new record-high traffic," Mr. Coupal said. "There's no doubt that gas prices are on the minds of people."

Analysts are unsure how changing consumer behavior will eat into fuel demand. Even as some drivers pull back on their gasoline consumption, others who had exited the labor market will return as the U.S. unemployment rate, now at 8.8%, continues to fall from its October 2009 high of 10.1%.

What seems certain is with the onset of summer—traditionally the busiest driving season—fuel prices will probably not be falling soon. But it is also unclear how high they will climb.

With the economic tea leaves so mixed, overall fuel demand during the summer has become difficult to gauge, according to analysts at the U.S. Energy Information Administration.

"The continuing economic recovery tends to boost gasoline and diesel fuel consumption, while the effect of higher retail prices tends to dampen it," EIA analysts wrote in a report last week.

This should be of interest to a lawyer? What is the legal difference between a citizen and a natural born citizen?
Well maybe not a brain dead liberal lawyer.

How Health Reform Punishes Work
online.wsj.com

The subsidies to buyers of 'qualifying' insurance policies will induce sharp reductions in the supply of labor..

Supporters of ObamaCare acknowledge it will have some unintended consequences. Yet surprisingly little attention has been focused on the law's most problematic provision: government subsidies to help individuals and families purchase health insurance.

This new entitlement—which the chief actuary of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services estimates will cost more than $100 billion per year once it is fully implemented—will damage the country's long-term fiscal outlook. It also will introduce far-reaching negative effects on rewards to work and bizarre new inequities into American life.

LOL..you willingly submit personal freedoms to government and then have the unmitigated gall to criticize other citizens intelligence? Typical liberal mindset - a programmed robot cannot detect it's own illogical mental habits.
