Okay, so everything is alright then. I had the same rough take on that as you did, BTW, the look on the face. So to drift into metaphor land, Obama is airlifted onto the deck of the Titanic and takes the helm as the first mate yells "iceberg, dead ahead". Not that this was a total surprise, he had been briefed that there were icebergs in the area and that the ship had grazed a few, was taking water in compartments 3 and 6 (beam me up Scotty, and other salty nautical expressions here). He calls down to engineering for maximum power (Warp 10 "I don't know Cap'n the engines are gonna blow" Obama care) full speed ahead. Reserves a few lifeboats for self and friends, hits autopilot (you guys figure it out and get back to me, "gotta pass it to find out what's in it") and takes a nap. That's what the guy before him did, and the guy before that too, what the hell. Not that I'm singling Obama out, or even putting it on the presidents, it is of course much more complicated than that and there is a congress and politics is the art of the possible. Just having a little fun on a Sunday afternoon. I was thinking about trying out for the New York Yankees. Thought I might make a good short stop. I've got a glove, look good in a uniform, can stand on the balls of my feet in a semi crouch, pound my fist into my mitt, holler encouraging words to the pitcher. I'm even pretty good at fielding slow grounders, really good if the batter strikes out. Now all I've got to do is sell that to the management. Anything is possible here in America. ARS
