hk's money is tied to usa empire money
hk's economy is tagged to prc kingdom economy
hk's fate is in good hands as long as its assets and debt is tied to empire money and its buyers are tagged to economy economy

we in hk has actually been experiencing an out-gush of deposit base as folks moved deposit base to rmb, and via pboc conduit and guarantee, to mainland, even as our loan amt stays on the gently up trend supported by equity embedded in rapidly deleveraged assets by action of asset value increases supported by debt-free mainland buyers

a virtuous circle

hang seng index has not even recovered to 80% of the pre-lehman high finance.yahoo.com;

and our real estate has barely topped our pre-asian financial crisis high (the high end has breached the old high by a smidgeon, but mid-range is a smidgeon below) so i am not certain what all the fuss about hk assets is all about especially as there are a few dozen million more folks now than 1997 / 2008 very able and more than willing to engage with hk assets.
