Unless I'm missing something, O has been left with two choices. He can either continue to try to keep the populace in the dark and QE to infinity and kick the can or he can tell America that because of a long broken system- which he is a part of- and reckless policies and greed; starting immediately, we'll have to live in the Dark Ages for a few decades while we regroup. I know of no politician that will choose the latter. I do believe that O's optimism and intentions were derailed at that economic briefing when he found out bush was lying through his teeth
