Terry,

I think the point they were making is they wanted to test it in real world conditions. Removing the residual potash would have negated that. Clearly what they were hoping for, was the crops that were given the TK alone to perform better than both the controls and those with KCL alone. That would have shown that TK alone had a beneficial effect in both situations inreal works conditions.

If they were to run this test again, I would add a 4th, 5th and 6th arm all in nutrient deprived soil. These would be TK alone, KCL alone and TK PLUS KCL -- all with the reformulated granules.
