KCL fertilizers work only if KCL is the limiting growth factor, so even if there was a lack of KCL according to normal standards and there was another reason to limit the growth of the carrots KCL would not help. So then you would need to go after the other reason and that could be quite the sidetrack.
So you can see that trying to get to the bottom of one field test does not necessarily make much sense, better to move on and try again.
