Rob,

I got creamed today in short positions in Internet stocks. In fact my losses there equaled my gain from CREAF-ouch! (But still as the Internet stocks move toward their highs they still make good short candidates).

As for CREAF first note technically that the up/down indicator improved to 1.2 today meaning that the accumulation of CREAF stock which kicked in two days ago is accelerating. In fact on Market Edge almost all of the technical indicators have turned positive, and Market Edge lists CREAF as a "strong buy".

Myself on a purely speculative bent agree that CREAF will probably announce an alliance with a boxmaker like Dell or NEC, and perhaps also an alliance with a competitor like 3D Labs. That to me is most likely. Now a "dream alliance" would be with Intel, but since Intel recently announced that they are working a bit with 3D Labs that does not seem likely-unless there is a three-way deal in the offing....

Will Monday be a big day? Well I just finished an article on CREAF to be published here in the Internet Financial Coporation site on the SI Home Page. And in doing the article, I realized that all of us have probably been underestimating how big of amarket the PC-DVD Drive market will be for CREAF.... So to me it does not matter whether Monday will be an "up" day for CREAF- but I'd bet a dollar to a doughnut that 1998 will be an "up" year for CREAF....

In any case I picked up a few more shares of CREAF myself today...

Sincerely,

Doug F.
