Ascend's new CFO Michael Ashby is from Pacific Bell in San Francisco where he was vice president and CFO. He should be able to bring some business for Ascend based on his understanding the coporate culture within PacBell.
Now PacBell just kick off FasTrak DSL with 384Kbps for $80 monthly.

If Maverick's claim (http://www.exchange2000.com/~wsapi/investor/s-16625/reply-544) is accurate, it should be a very positive future outlook for Ascend.

DSLPipes.

I think DSL is the future when the cost is coming down.

if you are right, i also get to take 1999 off from work (if not i have a year to make more and still not work) and live another carefree year, i already have 1998 paid for and am off from work. so if you complete your book in the year 2000 or later, sure, assuming i am not still on my holiday.
