I struggle everyday to avoid imparting on to my son any of my negative expectations. He smart enough so I'm not concerned. He should be able to stay above water. But there's no way things are not going to be vastly different than anything in the past.

The problem with such polls is: Define standard ... I guess some are expecting Mad Max ... tribalism, etc. If it is just material stuff ... I don't know that having a lower standard is necessarily bad. Now if it comes to going hungry, being without basic needs ... that's another thing ... I'm nutz: I don't consider a wide-band connection a necessity.
