They can call it what they want. I think anybody who thinks Obama is incompetent or doesn't know what he's doing, is going to be in for a big surprise.

He has been successful at practically everything he's undertaken. He took over the auto industry, the banks, health care, and by association, the insurance industry. He's put so many regulations (through Sunstein) on the oil industry that prices are shooting up, drillers are going to other countries like Brazil. Cap and Trade, Climate Change, the greenies and energy footprints.

Obama has done a lot of damage. That's not the same as being successful. A President has a lot of people he can hire and lot of levers he can pull, and Obama has pulled all he can.

BUT being successful means you can do it without provoking a backlash (or outmaneuver one if it occurs), make your changes stick, be seen as a strong leader and a popular President and win reelection. FDR was successful. Obama is more like Nero, very popular at first, but making more and more enemies as he blunders along in an incompetent and megolomaniacal fashion.
