What do any presidents REALLY know about all matters that need to be dealt with? That's why they have cabinets and consultants and delegates.
Bush was an imbecile and ran the country for 8 years, albeit right into the ground.
Reagan was a governor and an actor. How much exposure to foreign affairs did that provide?
NO president has faced the irreversible end of the American empire.
