This is rather lengthy (54 min), so if you have the time to watch, this is a very informative story on how the Tea Party is purported to be a grassroots movement, but in large part is funded by billionaires, the Koch brothers (5th & 6th wealthiest U.S. citizens) and linked to several of their organizations. (Freedom Works and Americans for Prosperity). Their goals are the same as the Libertarian party of 1980, which is to abolish all regulatory government in order to improve profits. Of course, many of the Tea Party members blindly follow the rhetoric in the name of "freedom & anti-socialism" since financial supporters keep their identities and motives low key. It also shows some of their training sessions and unscrupulous tactics for new Tea Party grassroots leadership that were taped in secrecy. -kc-

The Tea Party movement has taken American politics by storm. But is this truly a populist uprising or one of the greatest feats of propaganda ever seen? Australian filmmaker Taki Oldham sets out answer this question, finding that behind the movement’s rhetoric of ‘freedom’ versus ‘socialism’ lies a highly co-ordinated network of shadow groups, funded by the likes of billionaire ideologues Charles and David Koch. Are the Tea Party protestors really just pawns in a plan to replace government with a privatized America?
