In response to 8 emails I have received tonight, I would like to publicly state my interest in IPM. I currently have a relatively small long position in the company. It makes up a small percentage of the high risk portion of my portfolio. I have never shorted IPM, or any stock. I just don't look at investments from that perspective. I have nothing against those who do short; in fact, I think it is necessary for an efficient market. I have traded IPM twice in the past, on the long side. I haven't decided what to do yet with my current positon, which averages about $4.5/share. My decision is whether or not to sell on Monday at open for a small gain (assuming it does not gap down), or hold it longer. I do think there is going to be downward pressure on the stock for awhile (unless there are some more press releases this w/e), but I don't think IPM is dead, by any means. I try to look at all companies that I invest in as objectively and realisticly as possible, because I feel that I can plan my investment decisions more successfuly that way. The market usually sorts out the truth in the long run. I don't like exaggerated hype, positive or negative; I think it hurts most small time investors more that it helps them. I strongly agree with what someone said recently, that we are all responsible for our own investment decisions, and I don't blame anyone on this thread for influencing my decision about IPM in any way. Also, I don't think that most people (there are a few exceptions) on this thread have overly hyped it, positive or negative. CB, I appreciate your post, but you have no need to apologize. You seem to me to be a person of high integrity. Concerning the report from IPM this evening, I don't think that there is any question that it was much worse than any of us thought it would be. The numbers were much lower than I was expecting, I don't like the financing, and I think it was very ambiguous. Because of this, I will be very surprised if the price does not drop in the short term. That is the reality that I am now planing with. I always try to make the best out of bad situations, but, to do that, you have to face the situation realisticly. The best thing I liked about the report, and to me says that IPM is not a bunch of crooks, is that they did go through a higly respected third party, and that they did report the results (I did think the wording was very ambigouos, though). This,to me, says that at least IPM is basicly honest. Further disclosure, I am certainly not a proffesional investor. I do it as a hobby, and I wish I had more time to spend on it. I am a physician by trade, and that takes up most of my time. I think I have had some good teachers, but there are certainly others on this thread that know a lot more than I do about investing. I wish everyone the best of luck. I think there will be opportunites for most here to come out ok on IPM if they look at it realisticly. Good luck to all. Have a good, restful w/e. I'm not going to correct my spelling on this....too late, but it is probably evident that it was not my best subject...too boring. Brad
