This country was born and grew to be a world power on the will to succeed; now all of a sudden all you socialist lefties want to penalize successful people and businesses.

May I suggest all you lazy freeloaders stop depending on others (i.e. the gov't) and get some some self-esteem, motivation, ambition, and learn something about hard work.

Rush Limbaugh: I'm shocked Obama 'was actually born'
Radio host on messiah types: 'They just descend from the heavens'

PALM BEACH, Fla. – With an alleged copy of President Obama's long-form birth certificate released today, radio host Rush Limbaugh says he was stunned by at least two pieces of information.

"The most shocking thing I learned today is that Obama was actually born," Limbaugh said sarcastically on his top-rated program.

He continued to explain: "The two things about this that really shock me the most: one, that Obama was born at all. I thought it was a miraculous conception. And secondly, that his parents are actually mortals. Those are the two things I've really had a tough time believing. I mean, here they have presented this guy as 'the Messiah,' as 'the One,' and those people aren't born. They just descend from the heavens."

As to why the document was released now, Limbaugh proffered several theories.

"Maybe the birth-certificate controversy was cutting into his fundraising," he wondered.

But Limbaugh seemed to settle on a political reason.

"I think that this polling data on this birth issue was starting to hurt Obama," he said, referring to a USA Today/Gallup poll yesterday that indicated only 38 percent of Americans believes Obama was definitely born in the U.S.

"I think he played the issue out as long as he could. The answer to the question, 'Why now? Why not release the birth certificate earlier?' Because it was an advantage for him. The polling data was showing he was winning it because the birther crowd was considered to be a bunch of fringe kooks. All of a sudden, the polling data suggest that it may be a fringe-kook issue, but a lot of other mainstream voters are now picking up on it. So now it was time to get it out of the way because it was really starting to become a problem. It was really starting to hurt as opposed to being a positive."

Limbaugh also commented on the impact of real-estate tycoon and reality TV star Donald Trump in helping to get Obama to produce a document.

"A pop-culture icon, not an elected official, has forced the president's hand," Limbaugh said. "Not a journalist, not an elected official, but Big Hollywood. Somebody from the entertainment media forced the president's hand. Not one of our people. Celebrity has trumped the president."

Vehicle charging stations coming to Mountlake Terrace

By Katie Murdoch, For The Herald

MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — City officials expect to install electric vehicle charging stations as early as this summer. Mountlake Terrace won a $60,000 grant to pay for 10 charging stations at Community Transit’s Mountlake Terrace Transit Center. The grant comes from federal stimulus funds via the Department of Commerce. “We will be among one of the first communities in the area to have new technology to help the environment,” said Shane Hope, community and economic development director. City staff is required to match grant funding by doing the installation work. Construction should begin in summer or early fall to meet an October deadline. The city hopes to net more grants for additional charging stations in front of interested businesses. Mountlake Terrace is one of several cities along I-5 that plan charging stations for owners of electric vehicles with demand for the cars expected to grow. Still, transit officials have doubts commuters will use the stations. So while the charging stations are designed to accompany reserved parking spaces, signs won’t be posted right away. The city will track how often the stations are used. “We’re seeing signs people want them,” Hope said. “But with new technology, people aren’t sure of the level of demand.”

They are using grants all over the US to build these without any idea of use. They will be many more charging stations than electric cars for years and maybe forever.
