Bill, From barrron's this conference next week will be close to where I live. Wonder what it will do to prices (i.e., worth waiting to short more?)

"Back on the East Coast, a three-day look at the Y2K problem-that computer glitch that kicks in when the calendar page flips to the next century-is provided at the Westin Copley Place in Boston by SPG Conferences and Expositions. The conference includes speeches, training sessions, workshops, management seminars and vendor presentations."

Again, from barron's possibly an interesting site + some trivia!

"Howard Gold and Kathy Yakal's research on Web sites (The Electronic Investor, October 27) was excellent and quite thorough. A nominee for a series of ''5'' ratings, apparently overlooked, would be tuckeranthony.com. It is quick to load, has outstanding market commentary, a customizable portfolio tracker, a short course on investing and, for dessert, a series of Financial Trivia questions. (Example: Who was the first American to earn $100 million in one year? Answer: Al

Capone.)"
