Technology [I think of it more as applied science] is indeed not for everyone to invest in and cerf on the leading edge. As with cars and other inventions, most people are just licensed users.

Growing crops and digging dirt to process into various minerals, metals and materials are useful. Most people will be engaged in that way of life for a long time yet. But Peak People is around the corner in 2037.

Keep in mind that "technology" includes CDNA [genetic engineering] to make corn produce more of the good stuff, and microbes to ferment cellulose into ethanol, and redesigning human DNA to do a better job, not just electronics.

Ploughing dirt and fleecing sheep has its value. But I prefer the leading edge.

BP is okay. Not quite my style but I doubt is worse than Exxon. Neither is my cup of tea, or coffee. Certainly not at $110 per barrel. And I'm not even worried about CO2.

PS: Hmmmm GG? I suppose it can be shorted. Perhaps I should consult my broker. Thank you for stumbling me over that. See how luck works? It's great.
