Rob,

This sounds crazy but I did not keep a copy of thearticle I wrote! But the new PC-DVD Encore drx2 Drive was just introduced October 14th. (It replaced a first generation PC-DVD Encore Drive introduced in March.

Anyway I quoted Creative's Vice president Asia/Pacific Region (Low Chee Seng?) who noted that 150,000 PC-DVD Drives were sold generally in August 1997 (or about 1mm by the end of the year my estimate. Next year they estimate the market to expand worldwide to about 8 mm PC-DVD Drives, and then to 10MM PC-DVD Drives in 1999. That's growth...

So I believe that some PC-DVD revenues are factored into CREAF 98 estimates, but the factor may be low....

Sincerely,

Doug F.
