The parties are so polarized I don't know what a centrist candidate would look like. Semi middle Rs are branded RINOs. I do not know of any prominent Ds that are centrists.

Eventually the bond market will govern.

Paul Volcker jacked interests rates up. Since all Petrodollars were invested by the Arabs through American and US banks, the US and Europe started importing capital.

Developing world indebted exported capital for almost a decade.
Only by early 90s the situation was reversed when Brady bonds were put in place.

Yes, that guy screwed Brazil real good with his double digit interest rates.

I would like to see if a new Reagan (Trump) plus a new Volcker would do that today when it is not Brazil that is deep in debt.
