the thing is a fake

The WH presented something that was cut an pasted and totally screw up but resulted in substantially the same this as the clean AP scan.

I opened the PDF file that was distributed. Adobe Illustrator is a software application that generates PDF files.

Adobe Illustrator, like Photoshop has the ability to use "layers", This allows the creator to "lock", then work an subsequent areas of an illustration, etc.

When opening the Obama document in Adobe Illustrator, and invoking the "Layer" scheme, I found that whoever authored this file had used ten layers in arriving at the final PDF.

Using the layer scheme, you can turn off (or hide) areas layer by layer.

While most of these layers are innocuous, there are some which are covering up "typos".

I AM NOT A "BIRTHER", but I can not explain the discrepancies I found.

I have used Adobe Illustrator professionally since 1986.

I'm not a birther, but I'd like to know why Obama spent millions of dollars trying to prevent his b/c being released.

<<Posting to them is a total waste of bandwidth. They are never going to be wise nor are they ever going to mature. >>

Bingo! How about you moving to a moderated version of this thread, and leave this one for the afterbirthers and anyone else with a tiresome agenda to hammer and yammer on?

i represented a group that bought a place (the lease)out of a bankruptcy. they took forever to redo the space. they finally opened on a new years eve. they were competing with a few other hot spots. the good news was no one came new years - so no one knew it was empty.no one could tell their friends not to go - that the place was dead.

it really is pitiful isn't it

of course it's never really been about the birth certificate

no matter how much truth and facts you throw at the ideological illogical hatemongers their answer is and will always be to double-down on their stupidity and hate-mongering

Hannity Incites Threats to DC Church where Obamas Attended Easter services
religiondispatches.org
This post has been updated.

The Washington Post is reporting that Shiloh Baptist Church, where the Obamas attended Easter services, and which was founded in the 1860s by former slaves, has received over 100 threats after Sean Hannity played a clip of its pastor, the Rev. Wallace Charles Smith, discussing racism in America:

"We received a fax that had the image of a monkey with a target across is face," Smith said. "My secretary has received telephone calls that have been so vulgar until she has had to hang up."

On Monday, Hannity played a clip of Smith speaking at Palmer Theological Seminary, where he had served as president, about the prevalence of racism. According to the Post:

"It may not be Jim Crow anymore," Smith says in the videotape. "Now, Jim Crow wears blue pinstripes, goes to law school and carries fancy briefs in cases. And now, Jim Crow has become James Crow, esquire. And he doesn’t have to wear white robes anymore because now he can wear the protective cover of talk radio or can get a regular news program on Fox."

Hannity is stoking this one just like he stoked the Jeremiah Wright clips in 2008, without a shred of self-awareness, apparently, of what Smith might have been referring to.

UPDATE: Here's a five-minute clip of Smith's speech (h/t Baptists Today) in which he says the election of Obama doesn't solve the country's race problems:

The racism and the vitriol has taken on a politeness, and even such venerable saints as Rush Limbaugh know the lines that they are not to cross. But any of their constituency can hear clear the same vile filth spewing forth in their statements that was once the purview of Robert Shelton and members of the Ku Klux Klan and the White Citizens' Council. The problem is not solved yet.

And on his blog, Rev. Alan Rudnick, a fellow pastor in the American Baptist Churches denomination, says Hannity's segment could incite violence, and calls on him to apologize for it.
