<<Also lastly, what you all think about SUNW at these prices? >>
A bargain. I'm in at 38 1/8 and the only reason I don't buy more is that all my investing money is tied up. As soon as I can make a profit on some of my other investments, I'll be getting more SUNW as long it hasn't gone too high before then. People were buying SUNW for more than 50 not too long ago. As far as I can tell there has been no change in fundamentals. In my experience, Sun is the preferred UNIX platform and is way ahead of NT.
They have a promotion right now where if you buy a Sparc Ultra, you get the second CPU for free. Also, they are giving an extra 10% discount for peripheral purchases greater than $30,000.00.
This could give them a great 4th quarter. It also shows me that they are clearing out old inventory before announcements of even faster and better systems coming soon.
As always, JMHO and not advice to invest.

Mohan, here is a good article by Bill Day javaworld.com

>>>Expect Microsoft to resist Sun's approach with every fiber of its being. It has to resist. It has no
choice. A standard Java Platform, with official ISO endorsement and support by hundreds or
thousands of vendors around the world, is a warning shot across the Win32 API and Windows
platform bow. We're not talking small-arms fire; these are a multi-targeted nuclear warheads! This is
all out war.
