As far as I can tell there has been no change in fundamentals. In my experience, Sun is the preferred UNIX platform and is way ahead of NT. They have a promotion right now where if you buy a Sparc Ultra, you get the second CPU for free. Also, they are giving an extra 10% discount for peripheral purchases greater than $30,000.00. This could give them a great 4th quarter. It also shows me that they are clearing out old inventory before announcements of even faster and better systems coming soon. As always, JMHO and not advice to invest.
