However, at the top in 1980 (silver), there were seeming 2 days of 40-50 closes, there were lines of folks down the sidewalk out into the parking lot at my local coin shop. People selling their heirloom silverware, candelabras, baby spoons, etc. And news reports from across nation at that time were similar.
