>>Also, Medicare treatments are MUCH less expensive, across the board, than those private insurance cos. have to pay. Medicare has size clout. Private insurance has none. <<

That's why when medical care providers calculate their required ROIC and can't justify their existence based on what they get from medicare, they simply pass the costs onto private insurers and people without insurance (everyone else) rather than go toe to toe with the government. So essentially instead of medicare running even more massive deficits long term than is already written in stone, some of the costs get shifted to taxpayers via the back door. There is no free lunch except in the delusional mind of a liberal.

The Navy Seals are awesome. I don't think they will have much problem recruiting in the future. Not that they've had much trouble with that in the past. Elite units always have recruits standing at the door.

For nearly a decade now I couldn't understand why we hadn't nailed Osama. We've got predator drones, a network of spies, great technology and a military machine without peer. How does a guy 6'7" with diabetes keep eluding us? I still don't understand it, but we did finally do what I knew we could do.

Some say that one death doesn't matter. I disagree. Osama is like The Mahdi in The Sudan. When he died, the Mahdists did not disappear. But their momentum of conquest died with him.

I am also an ecumenical guy who realizes that Osama has killed more Muslims than those of any other religion. So, I am not attacking Islam. But, I still wish they had buried him wrapped in pig skins with a thousand jars of broken pickled pig's feet poured over his grave.
