Correction on the laser wavelength for GE and FC. They actually are equivalent - I posted before I had enough caffeine in my system this morning.

According to Benner's text under "FC-0 Nomenclature and Technology Options", the LL (long wave laser) is specified at 1300 nm and the SL (short wave laser) is specified at 780 nm. The specifications for multimode and single mode are different. Single mode is 1270 (min. center wavelength) to 1355 (max. center wavelength) and multimode is 770 - 850 nm or 1280 - 1380 nm.
