I wasn't around for that winter but I've heard much about it. They had 144" here at my place. Nearly completely wiped out the deer population. It was very hard on the wildlife. Normal is about 60 to 70". I was a little worried this winter that I was going to run out of room to push the stuff. I probably had close to 100" this year.

The thing about this year is how long the winter has lasted. We are just now starting to string two days of sunshine together. I cut an split all my firewood and the wood stove is all I use for heat. This year, on the odd, sunny day I've been out with the chainsaw trying to get a start on next year's load. So, far I've made no progress. No sooner do I get the wood in the shed than it's on the way to the house!
