There is no way for me to help,
No way to touch your hand
Or wipe your tears away.
A thousand miles between us
And yet, your pain is shared,
Your tears reflected here.
All mothers know this hurt
in some part-great or small.
And in this knowing, feel your grief,
Your anger at the arbitrary nature
Of blind Fate's assignment.
.
But still, you love as much-no--more,
And while you weep, you plan to fight,
And as you gaze,
Your heart constricted with the pain,
You see he is perfection still.

Only a comment . . .

I've missed your work. Surely, I am not the only one which feels this sentiment. I hope your heart will mend quickly.

Oh Alexa, I wish I could somehow ease the pain which I can only imagine this must put you through. I can only offer words of support for sharing something which must be a very personal anguish. My heart goes out to you.

Sometimes in are playful banter we forget the more important things each one of us is going through in our daily lives.

Take Care, Michael
