We were sitting (section 419 row 10) with the super hardcore Phillie fans, who were either on the Sunday Plan or regular season plan. The good news is that no punches were thrown and no body got hurt. Lots of insults were passed between us, some quite personal. There were lots of security in my section. When Paulino was up, the crowd was chanting "druggie." When Wright was up, the chant was "cry baby". When Reyes was up, the chant was "choke artist". One of the staff at the ballpark who was giving out All Star ballots, wouldn't give a ballot to either me or my son because we were Met fans. She let everyone in the section know that too. Every inning I heard the chant, "last place Mets". At one point in the first inning, I thought a fight was going to break out. "Your mother must have raised you to become a loser or Met fan." I dished it out pretty good too. They hate the NY Giants and Eli Manning with a passion.

Jake: There were a few things that stood out. 1) Ronnie Paulino, 5 hits, some tremendous blocks of balls in the dirt to preserve the tie in the 8th inning and the guy threw out a baserunner stealing in extra innings. 2) The Met bullpen, especially Beatie, pitched great. 3) Chris Young looked very sharp. 4) The Mets were pathetic with runners in scoring position. 5) They were giving out free pizza after the game. 6) The Philly staff is very friendly and for the most part nice. 7) The fans were rough in my section. 8) Philly fans are big time sore losers. 9) Food is really good. 9) Trip is easy. 10) Got home very late.
