ed and thread..all the insider selling is a positive sign. cpq would not allow this selling if asian was effecting them it would not be allowed. I can only think of 1991 that insider selling happened and cpq didn't see their prodcut line in trouble so they didn't warn in time. cpq should have developed their low cost pc in 89/90 that they finally released in june of 92. they didn't do low cost pc and it hurt them. this is the mistake that dell is making right now as I post. cpq was mislead as dell is mislead now. If cpq wouldn't have released the feb 97 sub 1000 pc they would be in trouble now.....think about it... back to the selling.. cpq has bragged about 50 billion sales by 2000 taking 100x turns on low cost inventory turns talking 40 turns whole compnay by 1998 end talking days of inventory in channel they are releasing a divy for first time they announced another split 2-1 they are going ahead with split even though the market crashed they are leaking that this qtr is great then to top it off..they are allowing massive insider selling if cpq has a surprise this january and if they know some stuff that is going to hurt them. THEN CPQ HAS THE BIGGEST BUNCH OF DUMMIES ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH TO ALLOW ALL THESE ITEMS AND THERE IS DISASTER AHEAD. more clues, when cpq is in trouble they cancel their COMDEX booth. check the history books please. I can go on and on.....they all lead to same answer. relax and just quit watching cpq day to day
