>>I don't know why people do this.<< ... EGO

Well thought out post, lots of common sense. What is your sense on LGND?

I'll let JOHN W speak for himself, but a bit of background might help put his recent appearance into perspective.
In Sept I was reading Jesse Eisinger's article in thestreet.com:
archive.thestreet.com
and I was surprised at the mutations in HIV after treatment with
Viracept. In the past I had recommended AGPH and the company is
heavily dependent on Viracept sales. I thought that one of
its stong suits was the fact that resistance profiles to Viracept
were distinct from other PIs, and that was one of the main reasons
that they were able to capture such a large market share.
I hadn't been following AGPH that closely, so I thought that
some posters on the AGPH could provide an update.
JOHN W seemed to think that I was just posting negative
info on AGPH.
In one case I uploaded an AP article:
techstocks.com
and JOHN W thought that I was putting a negative spin on the news:
techstocks.com
I had earlierr indicated that restance would develop
and some posters saw nothing wrong with such a view:
techstocks.com
JOHN W that that PI's could "cure" HIV and cited Dr Ho's model:
techstocks.com
I indicated that I thought that the model was overly optimistic:
techstocks.com
More comments from JOHN W:
techstocks.com
but I stuck by my prediction that resistance would develop:
techstocks.com
JOHN W then "threatened" to come to the LGND thread:
techstocks.com
This week, two article in Science indicated that HIV can
stick around for extended periods, even when "undetectable"
in the blood:

JOHN W responded with comments on LGND:

Been trying for a year to get that point across on this and other threads, but alas to no avail (g)

Beverly, thank you so much for your excellent post and anlysis of hostile newcomers. You have hit the nail on the head. Much appreciated. I think your solution is the best answer.

Beverly, thanks for the timely and thoughtful post. I have disagreed with both Andrew and Henry in the past and welcome disperate views. The difference is that i respect both of their opinions and don't assume some nefarious motive when they disagree with me.
A full and fair exchange of views will make for better investing. Verbal sparing is wasteful at best.
