yah , he's an adroit commentator you'll find over on AsiaTimes online ... a very incisive news organ outside the provincial US (very refreshing!!) with very good in depth analysis reaching over the Asian & ME arenas ... more if you care to look over atimes.com Glad to see you caught that Haim as saw you posting something exactly to that effect regarding Egypt & Mubarak ... and ending of post is precient with all the unknown variables as what now surfaces in the political vacuum we've generated over there ...and what comes next ? makes American self-congratulation over the killing a bit unseemly. American special forces may have been the proximate cause of Bin Laden's violent death, but the efficient cause is a great strategic upheaval (Arab world/Egypt) that America does not yet understand, and is not prepared to respond to.

I worked in the border Saudi-Yemen, (Najran) that Pakistani army helped the Saudis take it from the Yemenites. Then they damn the river and left the Yemenites without water. They were originally Jews. If you go down the mountains towards the Red Sea, you reach Jizan. I've heard Sodoma and Gomorrah are supposed to have been there. Lot's wife became a statue of salt there. But you Jews might know better. Black Label was only USD60 (around1993-94)since it was smuggled across the the sea. Riyadh was USD300. Very expensive.
