Ga Bard seems to like National Discount Brokers.

Their URL is ndb.com

They charge $14.95 up to 5000 shares and then $0.01 on the ENTIRE order over that. Again you pay for the first 5000 twice.

You forgot E-tarde on your list.

I haven't had that many problems with them. Only once or twice have I gotten a slow execution on market orders, which is kinda scary. I've switched to strictly using limit orders as a result. There are times when a market order is the appropriate thing to do.

Customer service sucks, and I couldn't get in during the day on Tuesday, after Monday's early market closing.

The only thing about limit orders (on penny-stocks) with E-trade is that you can't use decimals. So when I do limit orders, I bump up the limit to the closest fraction it will take that is above the ask.

I'm going to check out NDB. So far it seems like the best alternative (besides E-Trade). If they do decimal limit orders, I'm there.
