Wrong poster... It was not about two corporate tax structures per se.. The trusts were specifically targeted at the resource industry... regulation fell down as usual., government fell down as usual... and little guy got screwed as usual... I still contend they shot first without thinking... to be expected Flaherty along with Clement came from the Harris provincial torys after creating a disaster there... I posted reservations as soon as I saw Harper's cabinet YEARS ago.. What better way for the little guy to share in profitability without worrying about trading.. The government had options but sadly they involved some critical thinking... not their forte...
