re: "When you say LSI's day will come"

Get a dartboard out! I used to be a long-term investor in LSI until I began to realize that there were too many non-believers in the stock who would trash it w/o a moment's hesitation. And as it turns out not without justification! (LSI's outlook over next few months is not good.)

Right now I'd be accumulating ($ averaging) for the long term. The key point is whether we are past our lows for the year. I would tend to guess 18-19 is a reasonable low for the year. But if the market goes through another scare LSI will sink. The market is generally selling off on good news and that's never a good thing. (In the s/t AMAT c.call may be a good thing - my guess is that they might not indicate an immediate slowdown. Whether they dramatically lower expectations for next year of course is the issue.) Besides I kind of like my lack of margin now! Not a bad idea to keep some cash on the side.

Hi Robert,

Welcome to the thread, and good luck with LSI.

I certainly did take profits back then, and now I've started building a new position. I'm already in profit again:)

OTOH I agree with Shane.......this market is kind of spooky. I got rid of all my margin and any losers. Now I only have a few long positions left (IOM INTU TXB MODA PSUN LSI ), and I am mostly s/t trading through the holidays.

Cheers!
