I had considered bucking up but wood fires which of course are my only source for heat (I have electric heat but never use it) will be burning in any event. Candle light is romantic for about a day and a half after which your eyeballs start falling out of your head whilst reading to pass the time. With this system I will have some CFL light and be able to watch video and play on my computer neither of which use a lot of energy but go along way toward alleviating boredom. In the summer I will be able to more than meet my needs and sell energy back to the grid. It's a win win all round. Oh, and I get a very lovely tax credit.
