I had a very enjoyable Derby. I didn't win anything because I let my wife place the bets and she bet me all losers (she won herself, but wouldn't share). However, before the race I had two mint juleps and two beers and a lot of good food, and during the race I found myself deep in an overstuffed leather sofa sandwiched between two very attractive and intelligent women (both Ph.D.s, one University of Chicago), one of whom was mashing on me, and both husbands were in another room, so I enjoyed the race even though I was a loser. Life sure is funny. Sure hope nobody I really know can identify this post.
