To All:

The semiconductor equipment market depends only on the consumption of semiconductor products. Does anyone know the percentage of the semiconductor chips is consumed in Asia? My guess is that Asia as a whole only consumes less than 30% of the total semiconductor products. SE Asia may count for less than 10%. If the worldwide consumption of semiconductor products still increases annually, someone will purchase the equipment if SE Asia countries reduce its purchase. In my view, Taiwan and Korea are determined to keep their market share.

Does anyone know the percentage of the semiconductor products is consumed in SE Asia. I know that China is still good in purchasing of semiconduct products.

Seriously Ian, Cary, Sam, Robert or other knowledgeable posters - What do you think of Justa's briefing article. Those guys sound fairly credible to me.

Thanks
