When you go from 300k and 900k 1q10 shipments it's not so hard to show great percentage growth. 2012 over 2011, a year from now, will tell a lot more. We're still in the bottom of the first inning for smartphones (Android is at bat now), I imagine it will be 3-4 years before the market starts to mature.

I don't think anyone here ever believed Apple would capture the smart phone market.

They don't have to. The market for smart phones, pads and computers is still rapidly expanding world wide.

All they need is part of it.

Its sort of like arguing who is going to win the Auto market in 1925... Ford or GM, except the potential market for digital devices is far larger than it was for cars.
