Ike, my dear, look into your heart of hearts and listen to me.

To go for the jugular is easy to do. To love is not.

This is a punishing market when one is caught on the wrong-side, and frightening when one is whip-sawed about. To survive the punishment or sooth away the fright of most individuals, the collective insights and skills of those experienced in different markets are needed. Followers of the thread know who is who and who knows what, and the truth is documented.

And this is the truth that I see ... you have fine knowledge of macro econometrics and global economies, a long-term out look that will play true. BUT there can be a significant time lag between the macro outlook and current market sentiment and momentum. At times divergences have occurred between the macro outlook and current sentiment, and many who have been seduced by the power of your arguments against the current trend have sufferred. To say that the macro outlook is bullish in the long-term, but the short-term trend is down is calming, useable and accurate market guidance. Of what use is it to those you serve to say, no insist, that the immediate trend is up when it is not; to enter trades too early and have time value erode away? Of what use is it to bottom fish on stocks when the bottom has not been found. To tell those who look to you for guidance anything less than what can be seen is detrimental to their financial health.

Let us put to rest this argument between you and TT. An argument started over the phrase "bears are bleeding" ... an argument that makes use of a phase to get to a deeper point. The point being that people can come to harm because of their unyielding faith in your guidance and your unwillingness to depart from a stance once taken, even if deadly wrong. Ike, do not betray these people's faith in you.

Let us put to rest the acrimony surfacing between you and TT, acrimony that disturbs the ambiance of this thread. A house divided is just that much weaker. Internet communications can introduce demons when none exist and things can get out of control. Did you not lose a very dear personal friend when such communications went awry? While TT has not employed the most palatable words, they are words of truth and began good intention.

Let's get back to business as usual and restore the ambiance of this thread.
