Bob, in answer to "How could it be other than the price on the day of conversion, Brad?": The price the conversion is based on is not always the price of the stock that day. It is usually more complicated. For example, I have a convertible note that can be converted to shares of a corp I am an officer of. In my case, the conversion rate is applied to the average share price over the last 6 months, and there is a formula they use to calculate the aver stock price. Details, details. I'm going to call the company on Monday to see if I can find out more.
