Also it is very dangerous for a lion to go hungry for too long
because it is losing strength as time goes by and will become
more and more unable to catch any prey. Eventually, it becomes
so weak that it cannot even defend itself and will become the target for other predators such as hyenas, wild dogs, leopards, wart hogs etc and it will be eaten alive by them. :)
