Hi Armin, Your close. Our heritage goes back to when we where the gate keepers. No one passed from Poland to Germany without going past us first. We where the front line of protecting the borders of Germany. We where then moved up to the Marque statis to the Duke of Englands same statis. Needless to say it all evaporated when the Kizer came into play and my ancestors left Germany for freedom verses being killed or convert to propaganda. As I understand it after WWII the government asked our family to come back and establish the past so that Germany could get back to some sort of cohearence. They said no. What can I say? So now I have to work for a living.;-) I do have one question though. Where did you find this info at? There aren't to many of us around. All Margrafs in this country are related. There are no others that carry this name. Curious.;-) Later, Ron
