Thanks--chalk the ease up to the used Sony Vaio case
I found being standard mid tower atx, roomy, easy, no
sharp metal, nice.

And the Sony card reader that came with the case was
identified by Win7--so I had working mouse and
keyboard. I had no working ports on the back of
the motherboard itself (having forgot about the
motherboard installation CD).

I'll keep speedfan in mind--my bios is supposed to
allow you to set the fans as whatever percentage
of full power that you like, so we will see.

On the Newegg motherboard feedback, I see a
guy posted in March with, perhaps, my same problem
"The RealTek Network Adapter/Controller was not found"
same board, MSI H61MU-E35 (B3)
Well, I'll get to that later and see if I do better.
Altogether I'll bet I didn't spend more than a couple
or three hours actually doing this--but I broke it
up into twenty minutes chunks over a week and did
a lot of staring at all the neat bits. I suppose
assembling a ten speed from the bottom up would be
a bigger deal, but I had my fun.
