I think all the big brokerage firms, like a heard of buffalo going over the cliff, have decided they need to adjust their portfolios in a big way right now so they are selling what has gone up.

There is probably a lot of short covering going on as the dollar gets stronger and Euro gets ready to make the PIGS walk the plank. Plus QE2 is ending. Plus Obama is starting up the Consumer Advocacy department whose only purpose is to strangle the banks.

The important thing to know is that nothing fundamental has changed with the realities of the world in China. The earnings for SINA nad BIDU were respectable. China still only has 30% of its population online. Growth is still what investors want to invest in.

So you have to believe the sell off is painful but temporary.
