Sheri,
I've been using E*Trade for the past 6 months and the wait time is their biggest problem. I also had problems getting my EUTO certificates, but for on-line trades, they've really been pretty good. Nobody's perfect.

I just opened new accounts last week at Farsight for myself, my wife and my Dad. I just started the process to transfer my long term holds from E*Trade to Farsight. So today I sent them an e-mail telling them to hold everything!!!! I can't believe Farsight is changing their rates as dramatically as they are.

Based on what I'm reading on this thread, it sounds like E*Trade is not a bad option. $19.95 per trade for 1,000 or 1 million shares. I will probably stick with them. Like the old saying, "If it ain't broke, why am I tryin' to fix it"?

I agree that we all need to write and call Farsight and tell them what we think of their new rates. In some ways, calling and speaking to customer service may have a more profound effect than a bunch of silent e-mails that don't relay our disappointment, our emotion and our heart and soul.

Just my $19.95 worth. David
