I hope, if this goes to the Supreme Court, it will be overturned. I understand the violence argument, but the freedom to remain unmolested in your home, when police do not have a lawful reason to be bothering you, is much more important than "preventing violence"- which could be used as an excuse to do away with all freedoms (starting with that pesky right to bear arms.)
