No, Canada oil sands needs shale gas. Five years ago
we were being told to stay away from oil sands because
oil sands need a lot of gas for steam injection and Western
Canada was running out of natural gas from rapidly depleting
conventional gas fields. Now there seems to be plenty of gas
for oil sand extraction and upgrading provided Alberta and
B.C. are willing to permit fracking. Peak Gas has been delayed.
